The NCGC was a large interdisciplinary collaboration between cancer scientists in all Norwegian health regions, with the main objective to investigate the potential of detailed genome data for better understanding of cancer biology, patient stratification, and therapeutic intervention.
The project has received two major grants from the Norwegian Research Council, and will complete that work this year, including the detailed analysis of full exome analysis of more than 2000 samples from patients with either breast, prostate, colorectal, or ovarian cancer, or melanoma, lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, or sarcoma.
